#StayAtHome days

Hi all,

We hope you and your loved ones are doing well.

As we told you some days ago in another post, since we arrived home back from holidays and the Covid-19 situation started, one of the things we have been doing a lot with kids is gardening and going with the older one throw the process of planting seeds and discovering germination. We’re also starting now our vegetables garden, which is quite exciting. Cherry trees flowered some weeks ago and we’ve got the first cherries of the year.

After several weeks now with kids at home, not going to the nursery school, we continue doing our best facing the challenge of working remotely and taking care, playing, educating, the kids. It is neither an easy thing nor the ideal situation, but fortunately, not every days are difficult ones and there are positive things behind these new days too.

We’ve been doing several kind of manual activities, coloring and spending as much time as possible outside, running, dancing, relaxing… Last week-end, Sacha told me “Mom, I would like to go for a picnic”, and we changed the living room for the garden: I’m actually a big fan of picnics!

We have also had the opportunity to learn new recipes. We have cooked for the first time gluten-free crêpes. We’ve actually tried the crêpes and the chocolate cream recipes from Being Biotiful and we have love them!

We have also discovered new favorite Instagram accounts. One of those new accounts we follow now is The Montessori Notebook, where we have found a lo of new ideas and free download materials for kids. We are fan here of her routine cards. The computer decided to print everything black and white, so I colored everything while kids were sleeping. Sacha was excited the day after when he discovered the cards. (Thank you so much for all the free resources!).

The context is still too uncertain. Reality strikes the eyes…

Take care of you.
